Buy Simu Technologies is a fast-growing mobile phone financing company committed to making smartphones and financial solutions accessible across Kenya. We are looking for a highly energetic, target-driven, and mobile Field Marketer to drive market expansion, brand visibility and customer acquisition across all regions of Kenya.
Job Summary
The Field Marketer will be responsible for promoting Buy Simu products countrywide, identifying new markets, onboarding merchants, generating leads, and increasing brand awareness in towns and counties across Kenya. This role requires frequent travel and the ability to work independently in diverse markets.
Market Development & Expansion
- Identify and explore new markets within Nairobi and other regions for phone financing and cash loan products.
- Conduct field visits to assess market potential, customer needs, and competitor activity.
- Drive expansion into untapped areas by establishing Buy Simu presence.
Brand Awareness & Activation
- Plan and execute on-ground marketing campaigns and activations.
- Promote Buy Simu products directly to customers in markets, shops and high-traffic areas.
- Distribute marketing materials and ensure strong brand visibility in assigned regions.
Merchant Acquisition & Relationship Management
- Identify and onboard new merchants and retail partners.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with merchants for continued business growth.
- Train merchants on Buy Simu products, processes and customer engagement.
Lead Generation & Customer Engagement
- Generate leads and convert them into onboarded customers.
- Educate customers on phone financing and cash loan products.
- Respond to customer inquiries and guide them through the onboarding process.
Sales Support & Target Achievement
- Support achievement of onboarding and revenue targets.
- Track daily and weekly performance against targets.
- Ensure all onboardings meet compliance and documentation standards.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Monitor competitor activity, promotions, and market trends.
- Submit regular reports on markets visited, leads generated, conversions, and challenges.
- Recommend strategies to improve market penetration and uptake.
Collaboration & Coordination
- Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, and Collections teams to ensure a smooth customer journey.
- Support new product rollouts in different regions.
- Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Business, Sales, or related field.
- Proven experience in field marketing, sales, or merchant acquisition.
- Strong communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet targets.
- Willingness to travel frequently within Nairobi and other towns.
- Good reporting and time management skills.
- Knowledge of mobile phones, financing products or lending industry is an added advantage.
